2020 – MikroHome 25 M²
In 1919, an interesting international competition was announced for independent living for two people in a minimal area. I had the idea to create a modular home that is completely energy-independent, with rainwater harvesting and utilization. The extensions were separate verandas, and photovoltaic panels and heat recovery were hidden in the facade. My former students helped me with the elaboration and visualizations: Ing. Nikol Čapková and Ing. Martin Coufal. We preferred to consider air volume (m³). The house is highly efficient = minimal waste, greywater and rainwater recycling, independent combined heating and water heating utilizing the building envelope, solar collectors, and transparent photovoltaic panels, and a fully recyclable glued timber-based structure.
Areas:
- living space 7.3 m² / 21 m³
- bedroom 7.3 m² / 21 m³
- sanitary facilities 4.8 m² / 14 m³
- additional terraces 5.1 m²
We didn’t place, but I think it could be further developed in an interesting way… If anyone ever wanted to (?)
